Web crawlers help the search engine find new page and record information about them. These crawlers are also known as spiders, and their purpose is to search for new web pages and check for the content on the web pages it has visited earlier, whether it is changed or updated. If the conditions required to be met are fulfilled, and the web page crawled is the one that is desired, it will be added to its index. This index is used at the final ranking stage. After indexation is done, it is filed and stored in the database from where it can be retrieved whenever needed. The web pages with unique and valuable content are indexed. A web page is not indexed if its content is not fitting the criteria.
